Rose has hit the bottle more than once... The hair dye bottle, that is! Check out some of the many 'hair raising' looks this charming lady has commanded.

Right now Rose's hair is pretty much remaining the same. She hasn't made much of a change as the days have gone by other than her hair is visibly getting longer. Her locks are dark brown and a few inches below her shoulders. McGown is mostly wearing her hair down and straight, a stunning and natural look for the lady!
• 2008-2009
2008 saw Rose half and half. For the first part of the year (January-May) Rose still rocked her red tresses, although they begin to vary in tone at times. For the last portion of the year the brunette was back! All throughout the year up until November, Rose's hair was long and mostly worn in soft curls or waves - she also experimented with a vintage style 'do in February (and she looked stunning!). In November of 2008, McGowan debuted at short bob at the Prop 8 Rally in West Hollywood. It marked the shortest Rose's hair had been since 2002.
In '09 Rose continued with the dark brown locks. The length was mostly at her shoulders, sometimes a bit longer and for styles Rose kept to big waves, strands swept to the side for the illusion of side swept bangs or the very pretty and girly curls she liked in the later months.
• 2007
2007 was the year of Rose - during the Grindhouse promotion she was seemingly everywhere! Rose has played it safe this year so far, keeping to her natural tones of medium to dark brown. From January to July Rose's hair stayed around the same shade of dark brown, the difference being in her styling. Rose often wore her hair down with some soft waves, and going a little straighter at times like for the Cannes Film Festival Death Proof photocall. However, a few nights later she pumped up those tresses with rich volume, and occasional lose curls. In July Rose was photographed leaving a salon where her hair appeared to have been lightened to a light red, similar to late 2003 and early 2004's hair color. As the months of summer came and went, Rose was often photographed leaving the salon with different reddish shades. It would go from lighter to a more darker, redder tones and so on, we're assuming it was getting the hair just right for what was supposed to be the November filming of Barbarella. Miss McGowan stuck with a shiny, sleek 'Ann-Margret' color for the remainder of 2007. Rose even filmed a movie (The Man on the Run) with the color. For most of her public hairstyles she opted for straight hair - often pulled into a loose ponytail throughout the rest of the year.
• 2004 - 2006
January 2004 was the end of Rose's red-ish blonde stint as the viewers of Live with Regis and Kelly voted Rose to look best as a brunette. Shortly after, in February, she dyed her hair back to it's natural tones. Dark browns & blacks. She had the same length of shoulder length hair between early 2004 to late 2006. It was long about 6 inches below her shoulders. In March 2006 Rose got bangs.
• 2002 - 2003
January - March 2002 Rose's roots were a gorgeous very dark brown, nearly black. She often wore it with lose waves, reminecent of Rose's favorite classic Hollywood movie starlets. Rose went very retro in May of that year, pulling out a Rita Hayworth-esque hairstyle. Her hair was medium length, straight and a beautiful strawberry blonde. Why the sudden super change of chop and color? Rose said "I was tired of looking like myself." It took 12 hours, two bottles of lightener and a box of red hair dye to create the look. May 2002 up to June 2003 Rose kept a very red-ish/orange color. But as the year ended her hair got slightly lighter to a more strawberry blonde hue closer to her early 'Tatum Riley' days.
• 2000 - 2001
From Early 2000 all the way through early 2002 Miss Rose had classic black locks. Except for a minor change in April 2001 where Rose first dyed her hair red, she showed off the new look at the premiere of then boyfriend Kip Pardue's film Driven. She soon went back to black up until May 2002.
• 1996 - 1999
It is well known that for Scream Rose dyed her mane blonde to distinguish her character Tatum from Neve Campbell's brunette Sidney. She quickly dyed it back to a rich charcoal black later that year. Her classic black tresses and signature bold lipsticks stayed until 2001.
