Film Trivia & Facts

The Music Box was the only time Laurel and Hardy won an Academy Award together. It was also the first Short Subject to win an Oscar for Best Short.

The Music Box was reportedly half-improvised and was made mostly as a contractual obligation between Laurel and Hardy and Hal Roach.

• The famous line in Sons of the Desert ("Well that's another fine mess you"ve gotten me into") was voted #60 on the American Film Institute"s list of 100 Most Memorable Quotes.
