Rose McGowan stars as Debbie Strand, a beautiful and enigmatic girl with a dark secret. After her mother and her mother's boyfriend die in a suspicious house fire, Debbie is placed in foster care with her conservative fundamentalist Christian grandmother in Los Angeles, where a new life awaits Debbie. When problems arise between Debbie and her grandmother, Debbie's own obsessive nature unleashes as she falls for her teacher.
