Sypnosis
Dave Morgan (Sean Astin) and Stoney Brown (Pauly Shore) are two high school outcasts who, while digging in Dave's backyard for a swimming pool, find and thaw out a block of ice containing a man (Brendan Fraser) from the Ice Ages. Dave and Stoney try to pass him off as a regular teenager and Link becomes seriously popular at school and this causes Dave and Stoney to become popular in the process. But Matt Wilson (Michael DeLuise), the school's most popular guy, after being pissed at Dave and Stoney for getting friendly with his girlfriend Robyn Sweeney (Megan Ward), discovers Link's real identity and it's a question if whether anyone will believe his story that Link is really from the Ice Ages.

Rose McGowan's Role
Rose McGowan has a tiny cameo as a high school girl, Nora. She appears twice in the film. Encino Man is quite obviously not a masterpiece but it is worth watching to see Rose as a teenager. She's got brown hair and her pre-plucked eyebrows.

Quotes: Rose McGowan

• "When people look at my film anthology in years to come, they're going to think I had this bizarre desire to work with Pauly Shore. Eeeewwwwww!"

• "I graduated from high school when I was 15 and a half, and I had a half-year of college left when I came to Hollywood. I had a manager and I started working right away, but it was all so horrible, like Encino Man and assorted TV crap. I just lost it, because I was accustomed to having some freedom of expression in my work."

Quotes: Her Character

• "Oh my God, he is totally rude."

• "Oh God, he is so cool."
