Rose McGowan turned up for the premiere of Terminator Salvation yesterday in Los Angeles, looking very cute in a short, green frilly number. She, of course, voices the character Angie Salter in the Terminator Salvation video game. It is really nice to see her attending a big Hollywood premiere for the first time in a long time. Almost 100 pictures are available in the gallery.

Well, on the previous post I mentioned wondering what is happening in the world of Red Sonja and today we actually got an update on the status of the film… And it ain’t good, guys.
Empire spoke to Red Sonja producer Joe Gatta, who confirmed that the film has been post-poned and will not be filming until 2010.
“Red Sonja probably won’t happen until next year, as far as making it goes. So we want to launch Conan and reinvent the franchise.” – Joe Gatta
This probably means that it won’t be hitting the big screens for a couple of years. What a bummer! I know myself and all of Rose’s fans have been looking forward to the film since its launching at the Comic-Con a year ago. Here’s to hoping that Rose will shoot another film before Red Sonja. I truly miss seeing her on the silver screen! :depressed:
For more revelations about Conan and Red Sonja, pick up the next issue of Empire, on sale May 28. I will be sure to make scans for the site once the magazine is out.

Robert Rodriguez confirms what we pretty much already knew: that Barbarella, which was to Rose McGowan, has been scrapped. Too bad that there’s no mention of Red Sonja, I’d really love to know what’s happening with the film. MTV Movies Blog reports:
Like the tides and Lindsay Lohan’s film career, movie projects come and go. One project we’re particularly sad to see go bye-bye is Robert Rodriguez’s planned adaptation of the schlocky, sexy 1968 sci-fi flick, Barbarella.
Yes, MTV News learned exclusively during a conversation with the director to promote the Blu-ray version of Sin City that his Barbarella is officially dead.
The film had been in development for years. Back in 2007, Universal Pictures was set to make the picture with Rose McGowan taking over the lead role from original star Jane Fonda. But the budget was said to have swelled past $80 million dollars and Universal balked. Rodriguez went in search of alternate financing.
“It came to the point where [a company from] Germany offered us a $70 million budget, which would have been by far the biggest budget I ever would have had for a movie,” Rodriguez told MTV News. “But I had to shoot it in Germany and post it in Germany. Nothing against Germany, but I have five kids and I was like, ‘God, I don’t know if we can do that. I don’t know if I can be away that long.’”

Yesterday Rose McGowan attended An Evening With Women Celebrating Art, Music, & Equality in Beverly Hills, California. She looked nothing short of breathtaking in a short, flirty dress and golden accessories. As you may have noticed, Rose has also been sporting a shorter hairdo, which in my opinion looks real cute on her. Personally, I just adore this look of hers and it definitely marks my favorite of 2009! Enjoy the photos!
