I finally got ahold of the Machete DVD, which comes with three deleted scenes that feature Rose McGowan as the insanely cool and equally deadly assassin, Boots McCoy. I’ve added the screencaptures of Rose’s scenes in the gallery plus made video clips for your viewing pleasure. You can check out all of the clips right over here at McGowan Media.
A word of warning, though. Hardcore cat lovers might find the scene titled “Boots McCoy shoots Luz” offensive. Consider yourselves warned! 😉

ZomBcon International is proud to announce the latest name to be added to the 2011 guest list. This year, Guest of Honor, Rose McGowan (Charmed, Scream, Planet Terror) will be joining ZomBcon on Saturday, October 22nd and 23rd for a screening of Planet Terror, Q&A, fan signings and fan photo opportunity.
This year also marks the announcement of the 1st annual Cherry Darling Award; celebrating brave independent women in the film and television industry making a difference in their community. Every year, ZomBcon will honor a female artist in the horror genre to raise awareness for a local charity in the spirit of horror every October.
Rose’s appearance will be help raise awareness for a local non-profit charity, REEL GRRLS that empowers young women from diverse communities to realize their power, talent and influence through media production. Their mission is to cultivate voice and leadership in girls at a vulnerable age in their development. She will be donating 100% of all autographs and photo opportunities to the charity during ZomBcon.
She likes fast cars, classic films of the 1940’s, wears high heels despite an injured ankle. She became an actress by chance. The charming Rose McGowan talked about the beginnings of her career, work with Tarantino and Rodriguez and her passion for action movies.
She never wanted to be an actress. She moved to Los Angeles from rainy Seattle, lived with her boyfriend and wanted to start college. At that moment, her boyfriend died. Totally devastated, she lived at her friends’ place and a friend of a friend offered her first film acting role. She refused, but when she realised that thanks to the film she could make money and buy herself a flat, she changed her mind.
Rose McGowan is very closely tied to her siblings. She talked proudly of what they do now and how great and adventurous their childhood was. “We would go to the police station, tell that we escaped from home and come from a different town. They would give us money for a bus and we were going to the town we never before visited. Thus we saw many places.” Her childhood not always was this carefree. At the age of 14 she worked at a funeral home, and a year later she lost the roof above her head.
Have we got another rare treat for all of you McGowaniacs today or what! Like I’ve said before, it is not often that we come across never-before-seen older photos of Rose these days. However, our much loyal forum member and site contributor Brandon aka mcgowanfan snagged this rare issue of Glamour Italia, dating back to August 1997, which features a breathtaking editorial and an interview with Ms. McGowan that I know I’ve never seen before! And isn’t it absolutely gorgeous!
Please respect the site and Brandon’s kindness of sharing the scans with fellow fans by not re-posting the images on other websites and forums. Many thanks in advance!
Now, please enjoy this super rare treat!
Update: Many thanks to Laura’s hard work, we now have an English translation of Rose’s interview in the library, Glamour Italia: Portrait of an Actress!
Cinema can’t tame me. If they like me, good, but I would have an interesting life anyway.

Rose is featured as the iconic cartoon sexpot Betty Boop in a Funny or Die trailer parody called Boop. The short was directed and written by Ryan Perez and also stars Billy Zane. Rose shows her fabulous comedic chops and couldn’t be more adorable in this fun little side project! Screencaps are in the gallery and the clip can be watched in our media archive (after the jump) or on their official website in higher quality.
