Many thanks to our loyal site contributor Laura (RoseRocks), we have preview scans of Miss McGowan’s cover story in the Holiday 2011 issue of Genlux Magazine. It features a new interview and a stunning new photoshoot, to boot! The cover photo is particularly ravishing, don’t you think?
I have also replaced the scans from the July 2011 issue of Blackbook magazine with high quality versions scanned by yours truly. Enjoy!
According to Hollywood Reporter, Rose McGowan will star in a romantic thriller titled Napa. She will be playing a woman called Scarlett Harding, who after three tours of duty in Afghanistan returns to her hometown, where she is given the job of sheriff.
Writer-producer Michael Kerr is making his feature directorial debut with the project, which is filming in Napa Valley, California. Kerr wrote the script with Hans Ostrom, based on Ostrom’s novel Three to Get Ready, and he is producing with Nellie Nugiel through his Michael Kerr Company. Film Bridge International’s Ellen Wander is serving as executive producer, with Film Bridge handling worldwide sales.
This certainly sounds like an intriguing project and a role unlike any that Rose has played before. Very exciting news! We will certainly keep you posted on all things Napa so stay tuned.
Rose McGowan has clearly been raising her profile this fashion week. In addition to the Tommy Hilfiger after-party and the Preen show, she made it to Donna Karan Monday afternoon. McGowan, who just starred in Conan the Barbarian in a role that had her look “completely insane with prosthetics,” her next role is in a television film called The Pastor’s Wife. “I am playing an invisible woman,” she said. “It’s the hardest part I have ever done.” She was far from invisible at the Donna Karan show, though, wearing a striking red Donna Karan dress replete with matching lipstick. She clearly loves the fashion spectacle. “It’s like running on fumes, but goddamit we all look pretty,” she said.
First of all, apologies for the lack in the updates. These past few weeks (or months, to be honest) have been incredibly hectic for us so updates have been a little slow. But things seem to be calming down so we will be working on catching up with everything, little by little.
Rose has been attending a bunch of fashion shows at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2012 in New York City. I’ve loaded several albums in the gallery, namely from the Honor, Monique Lhuillier and Ruffian shows as well as Rose and her friends showcasing street fashion. She is looking really stunning at each of the events, I especially love the pink number and loose waves that she rocked at Monique Lhuillier. Simply darling!

Rosewood Lane, a horror movie starring Rose McGowan and directed by Victor Salva, will premiere at Screamfest, the horror festival now entering it’s 11th year. The title is among the first wave of films announced that will screen at the festival, which runs October 14 to 23 at the Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles’ Hollywood & Highland Center.
Rosewood Lane centers on radio talk show psychiatrist (McGowan) who returns to her hometown and takes notices of the unusual behavior of her neighborhood paperboy. Salva is best known for directing the horror movie Jeepers Creepers and supernatural drama Powder.
