“The seam of these pants just ripped a little but it’s not because I’m fat,” Rose McGowan told us about her Max Azria leather pants before his show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
McGowan insisted, “It’s because I was getting dressed in the back of the car on the way over here!”
The actress, who was wearing a Max Azria tunic is an ardent supporter of both the line and the man. She told StyleList: “He makes really elegant and wearable clothes and he’s such a fun and lovely personality, you want to support him.” McGowan, 37, detailed her accessories: “The bracelet is Celine and the shoes are Louboutin and they’re mine.”
Her favorite personal red carpet outfit, she said, was “probably a Dolce & Gabbana custom gown they made for me, it was probably about two years ago at amfAR [The American Foundation for AIDS Reasearch gala in Cannes]. It was a beautiful, hand painted, silk, giant ball gown.”

Rose McGowan was in New York today for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011 collections. Our girl was super busy, hopping around to four different events. She changed for all and looked gorgeous at each designer collection. Also a few days earlier Rose attended a Brian Atwood Launch Party and was spotted at LAX. On Tuesday, January 18th Women’s Image Network (WIN) will pay tribute to two-time Academy Award winning actress and activist, Dame Elizabeth Taylor at The WIN Awards 2010 ceremony, at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California. WIN will also present award-winning actress, producer, television host and arts patron, Suzanne Roberts with its Lifetime Achievement award. Dame Taylor’s National Velvet co-star, Mickey Rooney, will present Taylor’s tribute and accept the award on her behalf as Taylor is being honored in absentia.
Breakthrough YouTube sensation “Cimorelli” will perform, a group of six sisters ages 10-20 known for their extraordinary, multi-part harmonies who are currently recording their major label debut album. Sally Kirkland, Rose McGowan, Carl Reiner, AJ Michalka, Sara Rue, Lea Thompson, John Savage, HGTV star Kahi Lee and Lance Bass will also be on hand as presenters, comedienne Wendy Liebman will host and country singer-songwriter Stephanie Quayle will perform. Things got a little weird at the Change Begins Within benefit on Monday at the Museum of Modern Art, but what do you expect when it’s hosted by the pro-Transcendental Meditation David Lynch Foundation?
One guest who wasn’t exactly buying the Blue Velvet director’s affinity for TM was actress Rose McGowan. “I don’t meditate for sh—,” the hellacious hottie told us on the red carpet, adding that “most of the others” on the rug who would claim they did meditate are “probably lying and drunk.” Perhaps she should at least consider acupressure. When we asked McGowan what she’d do if she gained even a pound in this festive season, she deadpanned: “I would hang myself off the Hollywood sign. What do you think?” We were a little freaked until she said she was kidding.

Amy Smart discusses Rose McGowan in an interview with Dread Central and had the following sweet words to say about our girl:
“She was really fun,” said the actress. “She’s funny and witty and sarcastic, and while we didn’t have that many scenes together in Dead Awake, we definitely spent a lot of time together in Des Moines, and I think she’s really talented. It was the type of character she’s never played before. She’s known as the gorgeous bombshell who can act, and in this film it was so outside of anything she’s played, and I think she did a great job. I know that she was definitely pushed out of her comfort zone, and what’s fun as an actor is to take risks at things that you think you may fail at and to go for it and to grow and to expand.”
By the way, the premiere of Dead Awake will be held tonight at the Archlight in Hollywood. It might take a couple of days for us to be able to post photos from the event because of our hectic lives at the moment. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled at the forum for the first coverage as it arrives!

Earlier this evening (November 13), Rose McGowan stepped out in Los Angeles to attend the “The Artist’s Museum Happening” hosted by MOCA’s Annual Gala. She looked delightful in an emerald green, floor length silk jersey gown by Issa with Tresor turquoise drop earrings and matching Ippolita bangles, coral lips and side swept hair.
