Jennifer Lopez has been named the Style Icon of The Year by American magazine Us Weekly. The actress/singer will pick up her prize at a ceremony in Hollywood next week (April 26, 2007).
Also named among Hollywood’s style kings and queens were Lindsay Lohan, Rose McGowan and pop couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz.

The premiere for Grindhouse was held last night in Austin, we hope some of you got a chance to go see it since they were selling tickets as we mentioned earlier. Rose attended, and she was looking very cute as always on the red carpet.

After directing his Grindhouse actresses in sadistic scenes of death and dismemberment, Quentin Tarantino was repaid in full at the film’s premiere — with a cake presented by femme fatales Rose McGowan, Rosario Dawson and Marley Shelton for his 44th birthday.
Shortly after midnight Tuesday morning, the sexy sirens led a bawdy chorus of Happy Birthday to You as Tarantino welcomed a bear hug from Grindhouse co-director Robert Rodriguez.
Earlier on the Orpheum Theatre stage, executive producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein thanked the directors for following them to The Weinstein Co. after the brothers’ ugly 2005 split from Disney.
But the celebration was not without mishap. Just before the star arrivals, a water main break flooded the red carpet, causing Tarantino to fret about ruining his “groovy” black boots. “I’m glad they fixed that,” he said.
The biggest hit of the year, has premiered in Los Angeles just hours ago, and R-M.com has some brilliant eye-candy of our Rose. The AFS has announced a special screening of Grindhouse at the Paramount in Austin, Texas next Wednesday, March 28th, with Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino and “special guests” in attendance!

Rose was seen out and about yesterday in Los Angeles as she attended Zac Posen’s Fall 2007 Collection show. Here is a little blurb from USA Today, which mentions her meeting Dita von Teese:

Rose and the Grindhouse gang, including Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Rosario Dawson and Freddy Rodriguez, made an appearance at the 2007 ShoWest Awards in Las Vegas yesterday. Quentin and Robert were awarded as Directors of the Year while Rosario and Freddy won Supporting Actress and Actor of the Year. Congratulations! Miss McGowan was looking absolutely fabulous in a black and white polkadot Dolce & Gabbana dress, pairing it with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Rose made an appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party tonight. She looked very sexy in a skin tight, white number with a long slide slit. She wore platinum and diamond earrings, bracelet and ring by Neil Lane.
