I just how discovered that earlier this month, on June 10, Rose attended the book release party of Bret Easton Ellis’ Imperial Bedrooms. Rose, dressed in black, posed for photos with the famed author himself.
I’ve also added photos of Rose looking gorgeous in Alberta Ferretti at the Ferzan Ozpetek Retrospective this month as well as a shot from the 16th Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards , heldback in February. Unfortunately I’ve only been able to find one or two small-ish photos from all of these event but, as always, if any of you manage to find more please do not hesitate to contribute!
It has been a while since we’ve last seen Miss McGowan out and about but two nights back Rose and Robert Rodriguez attended The Masters of Horror Dinner, an event that honors great horror filmmakers. It is great to see Rose and Robert together and looking so happy! Other familiar faces to Rose fans in the photo include Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth, both of whom were involved with Grindhouse. Credit for the photos goes out to James Gunn!

Four film, television and football stars are on a seven-day USO tour led by Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Three-time Emmy winner James Gandolfini, actress Rose McGowan, actor Tony Sirico and New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb are touring as part of an ongoing USO tradition of partnering with senior leaders and working with celebrity entertainers to bring a touch of home to troops stationed abroad. Since they began working in a partnership with the office of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2000, the USO officials have worked with four chairmen to deploy a dozen entertainment tours.
This trip is the first USO tour for McGowan and Stinchcomb. It’s the second for Gandolfini and Sirico, who starred in the acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos” and traveled to Kuwait and Iraq in 2004, brightening the day for more than 1,700 U.S. troops.
Rose called it the “honor of her life” as well as saying:
“Having the opportunity to travel on a USO tour with Admiral Mullen and visit our nation’s troops was the opportunity of a lifetime,” said McGowan.
Just home from USO tour.Afghanistan & uwait. Most AMAZING trip of my life. Our Armed Forces & allies are the best people! Can’t wait to return.
Rose did this on her break from filming Conan (which she will return to next week). You can check out several snaps of her on the tour, thanks to everyone at our forum for helping find them and major credit to AU Snap at Flickr. If any of the photos are yours and you’d like proper credit, give us an e-mail and we will fix that! A bit of trivia: Rose’s brother is a captain in the Air Force.
Yesterday Ms. McGowan attended the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Party Celebrating Fashion and Film in Los Angeles. She looked smokin’ hot in a sparkly silver number. We’ve also added photos of Rose at Vanity Fair and BMW Present The Art of Elysium “Pieces of Heaven”, which was held on March 4. Rose, dressed in red, posed for photos with Dylan’s Wake co-star Amy Smart.
Check out a video of an event that Rose attended the other day, the Angeleno Magazine Pre-Oscar Party, at Movieline.com. Hopefully we’ll be able to find some photos of her at the event.
Last night, Carly Steel attended the Angeleno magazine Pre-Oscar party, where she chatted with British actress Nathalie Press — nominated for an Indie Spirit Award for her work in 50 Dead Men Walking— as well as costar Rose McGowan, who offered some awards night tips, spoke of her own paralyzing red carpet fright, and admitted to a bad habit of breaking into architecturally significant homes.
