In honor of Rose McGowan’s 39th birthday, the gallery has been updated with glorious Blu-ray screencaptures of one of Rose’s more recent movies, Dead Awake. Rose plays Charlie in the Omar Naim directed film, a character who is, in Rose’s own words, “a semi-homeless crackhead who I think is half cracked and half schizophrenic.” A different type of a role for our lady, that is for sure!
A handful of photos have been added of Miss McGowan attending the 2011 New Museum Spring Gala on Wednesday, April 6, in New York. She looked very cute in a turquoise ruffled dress.
Also, don’t forget to pick up your copy of Dead Awake, which is now available on DVD and Blu-ray in North America! We will be bringing you coverage from the movie soon so stay tuned.
Dead Awake, the supernatural suspense thriller from director Omar Naim, opens in North America today, December 3, in select theaters. Be sure to check out Fandango for showtimes and ticket information to find out if it is playing anywhere near you. We’d love to hear from the fans who do get to see it so be sure to leave a comment and let us know your thoughts on Rose’s performance!
Amy Smart discusses Rose McGowan in an interview with Dread Central and had the following sweet words to say about our girl:
“She was really fun,” said the actress. “She’s funny and witty and sarcastic, and while we didn’t have that many scenes together in Dead Awake, we definitely spent a lot of time together in Des Moines, and I think she’s really talented. It was the type of character she’s never played before. She’s known as the gorgeous bombshell who can act, and in this film it was so outside of anything she’s played, and I think she did a great job. I know that she was definitely pushed out of her comfort zone, and what’s fun as an actor is to take risks at things that you think you may fail at and to go for it and to grow and to expand.”
By the way, the premiere of Dead Awake will be held tonight at the Archlight in Hollywood. It might take a couple of days for us to be able to post photos from the event because of our hectic lives at the moment. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled at the forum for the first coverage as it arrives!
