Dawn (2014, short drama)
Directed by Rose McGowan Starring Tara Barr, Reiley McClendon and Hannah Marks
"Dawn is really about what we do to young girls unwittingly, and how we send them out into the world completely unprotected, in a way that has, at times, really tragic consequences. Being polite at the risk of your own internal voice of danger being silenced is a pretty dangerous thing."
Gorgeous Blu-ray quality screencaptures have been uploaded of Rose McGowan’s turn as Marique in Conan the Barbarian, including from the film itself as well as a featurette titled “Battle Royal – Engineering the Action.” Please be note that the film screencaps contain spoilers so do not click on the album if you haven’t seen Conan the Barbarian yet. Huge thanks to Abby from Rachel Nichols Fan for the screencaptures! Enjoy!

Rose was in New York this past weekend for New York Comic-Con. She was promoting Conan with her co-stars Jason Momoa and Stephen Lang. Only a couple of medium quality photos have surfaced thus far, but take a looksie at those in our gallery. Thanks to Laura for her finds!
As we have earlier reported, Lionsgate’s Conan the Barbarian will be released on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD in North America on November 22. Thanks to the The HD Room, we now have further details on the various releases and special features.
The Blu-ray 3D version of Conan the Barbarian is a combo pack including the Blu-ray 2D, DVD and digital copies. The Blu-ray 2D version, however, is a single disc and format set. Lionsgate has priced the 2D version at $37.99 and the 3D combo pack only $2 more.
Bonus features on both Blu-ray editions include two audio commentaries, a history of the Conan franchise featurette, “The Man Who Would Be Conan: Robert E. Howard” featurette, and two additional featurettes examining the action and fight scenes.
According to Amazon, Conan the Barbarian is scheduled to be released on R1 DVD and Blu-Ray in North America on November 22 and on R2 in the UK on December 12, 2011. We will keep you updated once an official announcement, including details on the special features, is made.
Since our video archive, McGowan Media, is still not properly working, I’m embedding a bunch of brand new video interviews with Rose doing promotional rounds for Conan the Barbarian. Be sure to give them all a look, there’s some really interesting footage here!
