In today’s update for the Rose McGowan Birthday Week, the newest addition to the Rose-McGowan.com team, Dale McCarthy, speaks about his most beloved Rose McGowan movie: Scream and the character of Tatum Riley.
In addition to Dale’s lovely write-up, we have replaced the 720p resolution Blu-ray captures of Scream with 1080p ones, which means even bigger and even more beautiful screencaptures of this classic Rose performance! Click on the image below to get to the brand spankin’ caps.
If there is one word to describe Rose McGowan and her impressive career thus far, it is this – versatility.
Whether it be the role of a mute con-artist, a psychopathic high school temptress, a very charming witch or even a machine-gun-legged, zombie-slaying heroine, there is no denying the true range and scope of this alluring leading lady…with a velvety, enchanting singing voice to boot!
Breathing life and true dimension into each and every single role she plays, it is a true testament to her talent as a successful actress & artist. We believe her as these different characters, which is what I find so compelling.
I first discovered the enchanting Miss McGowan in Scream. It was at a sleepover party – horror movie night! After the harrowing (and brilliantly crafted) opening to the film, I was completely thrown into the mysterious world of Woodsboro…and introduced to the feisty Tatum Riley. I distinctly remember thinking: “Who is this beautiful girl with the dazzling big brown eyes, and cheeky attitude?!”
Today the gallery has been updated with The Tell-Tale Heart goodies: a stunningly beautiful new still featuring Rose McGowan and her leading man Patrick John Flueger as well as a handful of newly released posters featuring Patrick. Word has it that Rose’s character poster will be released soon! Meanwhile, enjoy these gorgeous new images.
In honor of Rose McGowan’s 39th birthday, the gallery has been updated with glorious Blu-ray screencaptures of one of Rose’s more recent movies, Dead Awake. Rose plays Charlie in the Omar Naim directed film, a character who is, in Rose’s own words, “a semi-homeless crackhead who I think is half cracked and half schizophrenic.” A different type of a role for our lady, that is for sure!
On the second of the Rose McGowan Birthday Week, Rose-McGowan.com brings you screencaptures from Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective, a Scream documentary that was produced in the wake of the release of Scream 4 in 2011. In the documentary Rose discusses her experience of filming Scream and the iconic role of Tatum Riley. The documentary also includes rare stills and behind the scenes images – and a multitude of adorable Rose faces and fun filming stories!
