'Red Sonja' Media Alerts
Article written on May 8, 2009 by Riikka

Well, on the previous post I mentioned wondering what is happening in the world of Red Sonja and today we actually got an update on the status of the film… And it ain’t good, guys. Empire spoke to Red Sonja producer Joe Gatta, who confirmed that the film has been post-poned and will not be filming until 2010.

Red Sonja probably won’t happen until next year, as far as making it goes. So we want to launch Conan and reinvent the franchise.” – Joe Gatta

This probably means that it won’t be hitting the big screens for a couple of years. What a bummer! I know myself and all of Rose’s fans have been looking forward to the film since its launching at the Comic-Con a year ago. Here’s to hoping that Rose will shoot another film before Red Sonja. I truly miss seeing her on the silver screen! :depressed:

For more revelations about Conan and Red Sonja, pick up the next issue of Empire, on sale May 28. I will be sure to make scans for the site once the magazine is out.

This is really really bad..it made me sad :depressed:
We are all excited about this project so I hope we don’t have to wait too much to see it on the big screen.
I also hope Rose will shoot another film before RS,we miss seeing her on the big screen,
come on Rose! We’ll always support you,no matter what.We love you

Well, that’s just great. More bad news. I can only assume how Rose feels about all this. Sorry to hear about all this stuff going down for her, that news really sucks.

But it only means something better is in store. Cheer up guys!

That “better” part is that I’m going to California with an aching in my heart..along with a TANK. Gonna level a few studios and the Producers Guild of America..brb lol!
