“If you want to see the girl next door, go next door.” – Joan Crawford
If a portal ever opened up between ’40s Hollywood and the present day, Rose McGowan surely stepped through it. “I got somehow stuck in the wrong stitch of time,” she sighs. Just look at the homepage of her approved fan site, Dedicated to a Rose. Pictured sitting on a sofa underneath the poster for Jacques Tourneur’s classic noir Out of the Past says it all. “While I’m happy, there’s this undercurrent of wrongness about my life,” she says. “I do think I would have done much better – or differently – in the studio system.”
What a wonderful surprise! Rose McGowan – and Rose-McGowan.com, yep, this very website – are featured in the August 2011 issue of Total Film! The magazine features a truly wonderful article on Rose and uses our site as an example of Rose’s Old Hollywood demeanor. It means a lot to us that the layout was directly mentioned because we always felt it was a special design and representative of Rose, something that not everyone would get unless they caught the little fan touches. So it is a huge honor to us that it was recognized by a magazine, especially one as awesome as Total Film! Huge thanks to our friend Katie for brightening our day and sending in the scans from the magazine!
