I took two years off because of a major illness in the family. So many people get caught up in a panic about taking time off, worried they’ll be forgotten about. The reality is, this is my one life. I stick to my convictions, for better or worse. And I beat the drum for rescue.
Rose McGowan and Sasquatch are cover stars for the upcoming Summer issue of Modern Dog magazine. Rose looks simply radiant and Sasquatch is possibly the cutest thing ever! “And then… Marique is her name, which is Rose McGowan, she plays Stephen Lang’s daughter. Jawbreaker has been out on Blu-ray for the first time for a little while now. MovieWeb got an interview with writer-director Darren Stein about the specifics on the Blu-ray and a little about the film since time has passed. I just watched the movie (you almost forget how fantabulous and underrated it is!) so I found this particularly interesting right now. He said that a musical could be in the works – which would be super cool, I’d say! So for those of you looking to decide whether to pick up the Blu-ray or not – here are some more details for you!
Back in 1999, writer-director Darren Stein released his second full-length feature, Jawbreaker, which starred four up and coming young actresses: Rose McGowan, Rebecca Gayheart, Julie Benz, and Judy Greer. As the years went on after the initial release, not only did the actresses’ careers begin to take off more and more, but the movie itself gained a cult following as well.
Jawbreaker was recently released on Blu-ray for the first time last month, and I recently had the chance to speak with writer-director Darren Stein about the making of his dark teen comedy, the Blu-ray release, and his plans for an upcoming Broadway musical, which may just enhance that cult following even more. Here’s what he had to say below.
