The picture she posted is heartbreaking. Losing a pet is one of the most devastating things to experience, losing something so devoted to you. To them, you are their absolute world. It’s a horrible thing to go through, and I’m sure so many of us have experienced it too. Rest in peace, little guy. Condolences to Rose.

So sorry to hear about Bug! Hope what I have to tell you cheers u up a little and “makes you think about “things”. Let me explain…
I grew up with a Boston….had her for 16 years. Now that I am 45 and wanted my kids to finally have a dog, I adopoted an 8 week old Boston from a rescue in Tennessee 2 weeks ago. (We live in Atlanta). He is unusual in that he is totally white on his head and does not have the usual black facial mask all BT’s have….to me that was the “selling point”…unique, never seen one like him and he will stand out in the crowd. The breeder would have put him down due to those “unstandard” marking alone I was told. When I saw his picture, I knew immediately that he “was the one”! Anywho…I knew you rescued some BT’s and I read a few years back about your 3 and loved the name “Bug” you named one of yours. I have been unable to decide on a name for the last 2 1/2 weeks and for some reason your “Bug” came into my mind today. I thought, “ya know that’s a cool and fitting name…maybe I’ll go with that…he needs a name now”. He is, after all, my Lovebug, Cuddlebug, he’s tiny as a bug and he has bug-eyes..By chance, I looked at your site today and learned your beloved Bug passed away June 22. I feel like that was a definite sign that the name Bug should be his in honor of your Bug. OK, now the wierd “cosmic” thing…..your Bug died the day before my Bug was born on the 23rd of June. I don’t know how you feel about “things” like that, but that was really kinda mindblowing to me. I wanted you to know that I am naming my BT puppy Bug in honor of your beloved “Bug”. Maybe your Bug is living on in my Bug. (I am a Christian and don’t really believe in reincarnation, but this also happened to me 8 years ago when my son was being born…my Dad was dying of cancer as my son was being born. I already had a name picked out but changed it at the last minute and named my son after my Dad for the same reasons. It has helped me get thru my grief…knowing my Dad is in a way living on in my son still and that they are SO much alike it is scary).
Anyway…I hope that gives you a little comfort in your time of loss…they really are like children and just as big of a loss when they leave us. When you are sad and thinking how much it hurts still, I’m sure, remember that you gave her a better life than she ever would have had with anyone else. I’m sure she felt the amazing love you had for her and appreciated every second of it. We think that we are saving them…but they really save us. I hope that your heart heals soon and that when the time is right, you will save another Boston Terrier…..aren’t they great!?!

Awww Rose, I’m so sorry for you loss. I couldn’t imagen life without my puppy. 14 years filled with love, I hope you feel better. Also wanted to say, your my all time favorite actress ever. I’ve seen you in The Doom Generation, Scream, Nowhere, Devil the in Flesh, Phantoms, Southie, Jawbreaker, What About Joan, Charmed, Death Proof, Planet Terror, just saw The Last Stop last night, you were amazing in it, your my inspiration, I hope one day I can meet you, you seem like a person that anyone would want to be friends with. Bug will be missed, I’m sorry.
