Rose McGowan recently gave an interview to the Swiss daily newspaper “20 Minuten”. A thank you goes out to Hager Halliwell from Charmed: The Prophecy for the English translation of the interview:

“I like the anonymity in Los Angeles”

Yesterday, blood was shed on the Piazza Grande. Robert Rodriguez’ Planet Terror, his homage to the Gore-Movies, was shown at the Locarno Film Festival. Rose McGowan, 33, plays the lead, “The movie is cute,” says she.

Q: Do you like going to film festivals?

McGowan: Yes, because it always takes me places I’ve never been to before–like Locarno. I also briefly stopped in Zurich.

Q: Your half French, half Irish, and grew up in Italy. Do you like the American Way of Life?

McGowan: Yes. I like the anonymity in Los Angeles. I can get in my car, drive for five minutes and be places where they don’t speak my language and nobody cares who I am. You can get the best Mexican food in L.A.

Q: Have you ever been to Mexico?

McGowan: Yes, my father has a house there but I could never live there.

Q: What do you tell people who don’t like Planet Terror?

McGowan: I don’t care, they shouldn’t go see the movie then. I find it cute.

Q: Cute?! What other movies do you like?

McGowan: Double Indemnity, La femme Nikita or Working Girl.

Q: What movie would you never do?

McGowan: Friday, the 13th, Part 20.

Q: In the movie you wear a machine gun as artificial leg. How did that feel?

McGowan: Wonderful. If I ever lost a leg, I wouldn’t want any other prosthesis.
